Description
By Jeb Dunnuck in 2020 (JD95)
The 2018 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc takes it up a notch, offering rocking notes of white peach, quince, crushed rocks, and honeysuckle. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a beautiful core of sweet fruit, a layered texture, and a great finish. It’s unquestionably another beautiful wine, and while 2018 was challenging for the whites, you wouldn’t know it by tasting this.
By Wine Advocate in 2020 (WA92-94)
A terrific example of Beaucastel’s white, the 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc boasts lavish aromas of honeydew and tangerine. It’s full-bodied and round, lush and concentrated, with terrific length and presence on the palate.
By Jeff Leve in 2020 (JL91)
White peach, orange rind, flowers and honey pop on the nose. From there, on the palate you find fresh, bright, juicy apricots, peach, and sweet Mandarin oranges. The wine has flesh and freshness. Yields were quite low, so this is going to be quite difficult to find. The wine was made from a blend of 85% Roussanne and 15% Grenache Blanc.
