Description
By Vinous in 2024 (NM90-92)
The 2022 Pommard Clos de la Commaraine 1er Cru is the monopole of the new Domaine that lies directly behind the luxury hotel that is currently under construction. The perfumed bouquet brings pressed violet and mainly black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with black fruit and a nagging herbaceous note underneath. It is very structured in the mouth and slightly powdery towards the finish with an off-dry finish. It’s missing a bit of charm and precision at the moment, though it does cohere in the glass.
