Description
By Wine Spectator in 2007 (WS94)
A wine that continues to improve with age. Shows loads of ripe plum, almost prune, with hints of vanilla and mineral. Full, chewy and tight. Still needs time.

Ex-cellar bottle tasted blind at the Lynch Bages vertical. Much more closed on the nose with notes of blackberry, wild hedgerow, a touch of liquorice and Asian spice. The palate is full-bodied, firm tannins, good concentration, nice tension, although much more linear than I was expecting. Does not have the flair I was expecting although I admire its peppery, irony finish. Good depth of flavour, still a little unresolved. Tasted September 2009

Transparent ruby. Classic ripe Pauillac with a bit of spicy evolution. Still with a bit of tannin and freshness. Lots of fun for claret lovers now.
